Observations so far
24 November, 2006: Some observations
We are towards completion of first week of this trip or stay. Since it was a usual office day and nothing much has happened so I though it's a good time to summarize few things.
- No horns! I have heard horn's volume only once so far! Hey noida… are you listening… Delhi people have better horn sense but noida is crap in this regard
- They do respect red lights, doesn't matter what's the time, what's the state. But I have seen few incidents of break-m-run incidents too.
- Pedestrian also have red lights ;) for your information, on few red lights in India they are also installed. But there is zebra line too, have we ever cared for them?
- People are used to stop at fair distance to stand at red lights, some 4-5 feet! No bumper to bumper drive.
- Japs are not talkative, at least I public places. In train, I have not seen many japs talking to each other. Some do, but most of them like to stand still.
- Most of the people in queue would be busy with their cell.
- INTERESTING ONE – I have not seen any young guy as cleaner any where, whether its office, train, hotel or where ever. Most of cleaner you'll find would be some 50+. I don't know the reason may be young guns are always succeed to get better job!
- No sign of poverty! Now I under stand that why that japane in Munna Bhai MBBS was taking pictures of poors ;)
- Walk! Japs walk fair! I have not seen any proper parking place at my office thoug it can accumulate some 10-15000 people very easily. I think there must be one but for sure, 80-90% people came only through metros. Regardless of their position.
- Skirts in girls are more common then jeans. And they do have good legs ;)
- Girls drink; I have seen 3 drunken girls so far, doing funny acts!
- Smoking ratios is high, unlike India; you will find smoking zone even in Mac'd!
